Life Drawing a Speciality
Classes
Life Drawing, Simply Sketching, Paper 'n' Glue. Classes and Workshops for all ages and abilities
Art is an ongoing experience and my classes are designed to be accessible for anyone. I welcome people whatever their experience, from absolute beginner to regular enthusiasts, students and beyond.
We are on a voyage of discovery – not so much intending to produce a finished masterpiece as to break down the walls that stop us from enjoying art or from trying something different.
The classes are the result of a unique blend of experience with children and young people, adults with learning disabilities, A-level art students and Animation degree students. Students are encouraged to become self directing, well rounded artists who are to draw on many ideas and techniques as well as solid understanding of what they are doing and why.
Great emphasis is placed on increasing confidence and allaying anxiety, encouraging personal style, working to the ability of the individual. More experienced artists will find this an opportunity to hone existing skills.
My aim is to provide the type of classes I would want to attend - with the flexibility of drop in sessions, a range of new and interesting topics to inspire, and reminders of what is coming up. With this last in mind I offer a regular newsletter with dates and a weekly text for those who find it helpful (you can request this via my contact page).
